Although, in principle, it should be something very simple, currently we have many options to transfer photos from mobile to computer From the most simple, which will always be connecting the mobile to the computer, up to some options that will allow us to do it using the WiFi connection. The first option may be more reliable, but it is not always feasible. In addition, it is very convenient to be able to do it wirelessly.
Today we will focus on how to transfer photos from an Android phone to a computer with Windows 10.
By cable
The first and most obvious option is to connect the Android mobile device to the computer using a USB port When connecting the terminal to the computer , Windows will recognize the device and open a small menu with some options. Among them we have the option “Import photos and videos”. In addition, we can do it both to the Photos application and directly to OneDrive.
If we don't want to send the photos to the Windows Photos application, we can also copy them from the file explorer To locate the photos we will have than access the DCIM folder and then Camera. This route could vary depending on the terminal we have, but it should be very similar on all Android phones.
Cloud storage service
Another very valid option is to use a cloud storage service. For example, we can use an application that almost any Android user will have installed: Google Photos.
If you have not indicated otherwise, Google Photos automatically uploads all our photos to your service. Also, just for having a Gmail account we have free unlimited storage in Google Photos.
Of course, we must take into account that Google Photos does not upload the original file, but a high-quality copy optimized to take up little space .
Once the mobile photos are uploaded, on the computer we just have to access Google Photos and download the images.
The Google option is not the only one we have available, although it is one of the most recommended as it offers unlimited space. However, we can also use other services, such as Dropbox or OneDrive All we have to do is upload the photos to a folder and then recover them from the computer.
Applications to pass photos over WiFi
Finally, we also have the option to directly transfer photos from Android mobile to computer via wireless connection.
To do so we have several apps in the Play Store, but we are we are going to recommend two. The first one is called AirMore and we have been using it for a long time.
Once the application is installed on the mobile, all we have to do is access the web page "http://web.airmore.com/" and scan the QR code that appears on the display. In a few seconds we will have access to all the contents of the terminal.
As you can see in the screenshot, we will not only be able to access the photos. This service allows us to access practically anything we have on our Android device.
Another option, which is just released and more focused on Windows 10, is Photos Companion. It is a new application developed by Microsoft that will allow us, precisely, to send photos from our mobile to a computer with Windows 10.
Its operation, as explained by the application itself, is very similar to that of AirMore. The first thing to always check is that both devices are connected to the same WiFi network.
Once we're sure, we'll open the Windows 10 Photos app. We will go to the icon with three horizontal points that we have in the upper right corner and we will enter Settings.
Once in Settings, we will activate the option “Help Microsoft test mobile import with Wi-Fi feature”. We will close the Photos application and open it again.
When entering again, in the Import option, we will see a new way to import photos. It's called "From your mobile via WiFi" When you enter, you'll see a QR code that you'll have to scan from your mobile device. And now we have it, we can send the photos from the mobile to the computer.
So you see, there are many options available to us to transfer our photos from our Android mobile to our computer. Which one do you like the most?
