Although we have recently received news that Samsung has stopped updating its Samsung Galaxy S8 terminal to Android 8 Oreo, the company continues to gradually update its applications for when everything is ready. At the moment, and according to the page specialized in Samsung Sammobile, from the Korean brand we can see a new version of the PENUP app for the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. This application, with the new version, would already be compatible with Android 8 Oreo.
PENUP, an application for digital artists
And what is that about PENUP? Well, PENUP is a social network that Samsung launched four years ago to bring together, in one place, all the creative minds that used the digital pen S Pen of your Samsung Galaxy Note 8 terminal to create designs and illustrations. Users could upload their work and maintain relationships with each other. The idea behind the social network is as simple as it is effective: if we upload our photos on Instagram, in PENUP what we do is share the drawings we make with the S Pen on our Note phone.
The PENUP app also offers useful tips for creating illustrations, designs, or any artwork using the electronic pen. Thanks to the extensive collection of paints and brushes available in the application, the work will be much more effective and easier for any artist.
In addition, with the PENUP application you can:
- Follow your favorite artists and interact with them. You can also ask them for advice and establish new friendships or professional relationships.
- Collect, in a personal way, the paints and brushes that you use the most. Thus, you will always have the most used tools at hand.
- You can organize your work into a series of your own, as well as add the work of others to other series to get inspired or simply enjoy the work of others.
- A complete gallery of famous artists: PENUP not only has a place for amateur artists, but also established ones. Don't miss out on your chance to win a space on this unique walk of fame for digital art.
- The application can issue a challenge to all its members to develop their art on a specific topic.
Download PENUP now from the Android app store. Its installation file is 20 MB.
Samsung paves the way for Android 8 Oreo on the Samsung Galaxy Note 8
This is not the only Android 8 Oreo compatible app from the Samsung ecosystem. We already have another three, which are:
Samsung Focus: The equivalent of Microsoft's Outlook but with a Samsung invoice. A productivity application to organize your work in an effective way.
Samsung Music: a Korean brand's own player, which supports MP3, FLAC, AAC and WMA formats, organized by categories and with a clear, clean and simple interface.
Samsung Connect: the application with which you will control the Samsung brand appliances that you have in your home and are compatible with the service. You can from turning on the lights to programming a washing machine from your own mobile.
Does this mean that we can soon have the Android 8 Oreo version for the Samsung Note 8? No. That they are updating their applications for the launch of Android 8 Oreo is not a sign that it is imminent: this only gives a clue that, at least, the machinery is still moving and that it will arrive, we all hope, Sooner than later
