The Gmail Go app is now available on Google Play
Table of contents:
A few months ago Google decided to present a new ecosystem in its Android operating system. We are talking about Android Go, a special version for devices with few resources and basic specifications. It seems that the idea has been so good that the American firm has wanted to take it to applications. We recently learned that Google had prepared a Go version of the Google Assistant, which would be used precisely for devices with little RAM. The firm has also released a Go version of Gmail. This is already listed in the Google app store. Next, we tell you all the information about this new app.
Gmail Go is nothing more than a lighter version of the Gmail application. We could call it a Lite version. This consumes less performance and processes. Therefore, it is perfect for those basic devices. As for the application specifications, they are expected to be the same. Perhaps Google has configured some parameters, such as the quality of the attached images, the animations or small extra adjustments so that the application runs smoothly. The app has appeared on Google Play, but at the moment it cannot be downloaded to our device. It may be available in the next few months.
Android Go in Developers
Android Go will mark a before and after in applications. Not only could Google adapt its entire service to this version of Android, but traditional applications could also launch their Go version in order to keep those low-performing devices alive , and low price. From what we have been able to see, Google is gradually adapting all its applications, and it hardly eliminates features. If developers decide to port their apps to Android Go, we hope they won't remove too many features. Also, do not remove design and aesthetics. We will see how applications with the Go nomenclature progress and if one day, these apps will be available to all users.
