WhatsApp is updated on iPhone to activate the change from call to video call
Table of contents:
About a month ago, from this same page we announced that WhatsApp had begun to implement a toggle button to switch between calls and video callsThat is, if we were engaged in a telephone conversation through the WhatsApp application and we would like to switch to the video call, we could do it with a simple pressure on the screen. Before, on the contrary, we had to hang up the call with the user and resume it but through a video call.

Now, WhatsApp users on iPhone have already enabled this useful tool, starting with version 2.18.22 on iOS. It should be noted that this utility will be available to everyone, it is not necessary that you be registered in the WhatsApp Beta community, where users can test, before the general public, the new features that are being implemented. We have learned this thanks to the Twitter account of the page specialized in WhatsApp leaks WABetaInfo.
? A new WhatsApp for iOS update (2.18.22) is available now on AppStore, adding the support for the quick switch between voice and video calls. If you want to know how the feature works, read this quoted Android post. Any other news will be reported here later. https://t.co/cVvXziD9A8

Presumably this new toggle button will also be available for users of the Android operating system, although no dates are yet known. In addition to this new tool, WhatsApp has already begun to test the payment system through the same application in the Asian country of India, as we already do with tools such as Twyp from ING DIRECT. A practical and fast way to make small payments to your contacts, for when you go out to dinner, share a streaming service or have to raise the money for the invisible friend.
Another great novelty of the application is the one referring to its desktop version, WhatsApp Web. Apparently, very soon we could make calls and video calls, directly, through its version on PC. It would undoubtedly be a great advance, and it would make WhatsApp similar to other computer applications for making video calls like Skype. Of course, WhatsApp Web, although it offers some advantages with respect to the application version, still has a lot to grow.Just take a look at the Telegram application to realize that you still have a lot of work to do on it.
