One of the most arduous jobs that exists is, precisely, the active search for employment. And long gone are the times when, folder in hand, we kicked the streets delivering our curriculum. Now, active search is done mainly online: we have to polish our professional image, take care of what we say on the Internet and carefully select the contacts that interest us. Of course, there are applications that can help you find work and contacts. And now we are going to deal with one of them.
We all know LinekdIn, one of the most popular applications when it comes to establishing contacts and finding a job suitable to our skills and knowledge.Well, today LinkedIn has presented its new application, Job Search As its name indicates, it is mainly a utility to find a job, as well as to establish a professional relationship with interesting contacts.
The application is completely free and you can download it, today, through its own link in the Android application store. The installation file is not too big, 17 MB. Once downloaded, you must log in or enter as a visitor in it. The credentials to enter LinkedIn Job Search are the same as those of the LinkedIn application itself.
Find a job thanks to LinkedIn Job Search
Once inside, we begin to configure our account, beginning by reporting the professional positions that interest us. Generally, the app will inform you of the positions that are already related with your professional profile. The second step is about marking where you would like to work. Simply mark the balloons and click 'Next'.
Now, we just have to see what offers we have available according to the application and the requirements that we have attached to it. We can apply for a position, directly, from the app, attaching a CV that we have saved on the same mobile. We will not need to connect a PC to find our ideal job.
In the menu you can configure the notifications of the application: if you want it to notify you when it finds offers for you, when someone sees your application, jobs that are about to expire and leave the application, etc. .
The main screen of the LinkedIn Job Search application is made up of three main parts:
- On the home page is where we go to see our recommended searches and jobs that might interest me. In the job description you also have the possibility to see how old it is and everything you need to access it. There are two different ways to enter an offer: easily, by attaching the CV in Word format or through direct access to the LinkedIn app.
- On the 'Activity' page you can view viewed, saved and requested jobs.
- Under 'Notifications',find out all the notices from both LinkedIn and LinkedIn Job Search.
Thus, we can state that this new job search application is aimed at LinkedIn users whose main purpose is actively seeking employment , leaving the whole issue of professional contacts for the mother application.
