Table of contents:
The Google Motion Stills application, specialized in capturing videos with image stabilization and then converting them into GIFs, reaches version 2.0 with a new interface and included augmented reality stickersIf you don't know this application, we are going to tell you what we can find in it and how to use it.
Download and install Google Motion Stills 2.0
First of all, we must visit its page in the Google Play application store to download its installation file.We access this link and download. The application is completely free, without ads, and has a weight of 18 MB, so you can download it with mobile data without spending too much. Be careful, the version that has the new interface and the augmented reality stickers is 2.0 and weighs about 13 MB. If it is not the one available in the Play Store, you can download it from a reliable repository like APK Mirror at this link.
Once we have it installed, we enter inside. Its interface is very clear and simple: a camera app opens, with its viewfinder and shutter, and a series of sections that move laterally, reminiscent of the design we have in Instagram Stories. These sections are:
Augmented reality mode
The great novelty of version 2.0 of Google Motion Stills. If you choose this mode, you can include fun animals and critters in your animated GIFsThese little creatures are enclosed in a globe: we just have to choose the one we like best (a chicken, a dinosaur, an alien, a world ball, a robot or a gingerbread man) and place it where we like best.
Point the camera, click on the screen where we want to place the animal or object and that's it. Now we can make it rotate or resize it with a two-finger pinch gesture Later, we'll share the video we've made in video or GIF format, depending on how we prefer.
Motion Still
The main mode of the application. With this function we can create small video clips, both with the rear and front cameras and, later, share them in video or GIF format with our friends on WhatsApp or social networks. It's very easy to do: just press the shutter and capture what you want. Once finished, we choose your thumbnail and share it in third-party apps, either by turning it into a GIF or a video.
Fast Forward
What in English we know as Time Lapse. In this section we can make longer videos, which will then be shortened in duration by applying a fast camera filter. You can also use both the front and rear cameras. Capture what you want by pressing the shutter button. When you want to stop, press it again. Then, share the video that you have made through WhatsApp or other networks. Before doing so, you can modify the speed at which the video will go You can leave it at a normal speed, double its speed, quadruple it and even increase it up to 8 times. You can also activate a loop where the video goes back and forth continuously.
