Google Duo will work hand in hand with the Google Assistant
Table of contents:
News are coming for the Google Duo application, the Google app that allows us to make video calls in a very, very simple and practical way. The big G has decided to get more out of its application. During 2017 we have seen further integration with the Android operating system. Not only with the default app application on devices, but also with the integration of Duo in the Google Phone app and other little news. It seems that 2018 is also going to be a very interesting year for the application.Justin Uberti, the main engineer of Google Duo has shown through Twitter the roadmap for the application, these will be his news.

First of all, we must highlight the integration with the Google Assistant, which is also already available in Spain for devices compatible. We can ask Google Assistant through some new smart Google screens, to call, for example, our partner by video. The assistant will automatically open the Duo app and make the video call. Most likely, we can also perform different actions with the Google Assistant. Perhaps it will also integrate more into the Duo app.
Support for desktop and group video calls

On the other hand, Justin Uberti has confirmed different characteristics. A user on Twitter has asked if we will see more features like group calling, Chrome OS support, better audio quality, and even desktop version support The Engineer from Google Duo has answered Yes to the questions. So we can intuit that they will soon incorporate these characteristics. We expect to see more coming to Google Duo in 2018, as well as Allo, the sister app dedicated to instant messaging. This latest application incorporates Google Assistant natively, and the truth is that we would also like to see the Assistant in Duo. At the moment we do not know when they will add these features, we will be attentive to future updates.
