The first thing you have to do is update your version of WhatsApp. It is possible that this function has not yet arrived and it is precisely because you have not updated the application. 1. Open the app and tap on the three dots at the top right of the page. A menu with different options will be displayed after a second. The one you have to select is Settings.

When you have selected the conversation that interests you, you will see that a summary appears with the amount of content and its type. You'll see information about Text Messages, Contacts, Locations, Photos, GIFs, Videos, Audio Messages, and Documents.
Right next to the icon, you'll see the space they take up. This will help you determine if there is a lot of content and if that group is really detrimental to your computer's memory. Especially if what is shared are memes, prank videos and other classic bullshit from WhatsApp groups of friends and family.
1. To start managing them, click on Manage messages A box will automatically be activated and you will be able to select the category of messages you want to empty. You'll need to delete all photos, documents, GIFs, or videos at once, so make sure you don't delete anything important.
2. When everything is clear and selected, the Empty messages option will be enabled at the bottom of the screen. You will see it marked in red and you will be able to delete the messages. Right next to it you will see the exact data of the MB that you will be freeing.
3. The system will ask you again if you are sure and want to definitely delete this content. If you're completely convinced, choose Empty.
