Control taxi races with this application
If you want to know exactly what the route should be to get to a place and to know what the price of the race may be more or less, you have the option of using this application. This is TxMad, an application from the Madrid City Council with which you can obtain all the information you need. How does it work? Follow the instructions provided below.
1. The first thing you have to do, of course, is download the TxMad application. You have it available for free in the Google Play Store, for Android and in the App Store, if you need the version for iOS.
2. Once you have the application downloaded, you will have to open it and you can start using it. To start with, you will have three options: Calculate your Trip, Travel Safely and Know your Rate. Let's start at the beginning, which is the option to calculate your trip.
3. Next, you will have the option to indicate from which point and to which place you want to travel by taxi. You can use your location (you will have to have the GPS service activated, of course) to position yourself on the map. Once you have the two points indicated (you just have to type the beginning of the street name), you will have to choose how you are going to take the taxi (on the street, at a taxi rank or by phone or through an app).Indicate if you want a route without tolls. And the date and time of the trip. Click on the blue Calculate your trip button.
4. What you will get next will be a couple of routes And you will be able to see them on the map, which will undoubtedly help you a lot to orient yourself. The first route will be the fastest. The second, the fastest. Both will not coincide, but they will be more or less the same. It may, of course, be distinguished by time (they can vary in minutes) and price (in this sense, it is possible that the difference is just a few cents or a few euros).
Note that the estimates you will get are just estimates. It is possible that applied to reality, times and prices may vary significantly. In any case, will be great for you to know, about the territory, how the taxi should travel.
Other ways to check taxi routes
Within the same application, you will find two more options. The first is the one that allows you to check the rest times of the taxi drivers. All you have to do is indicate the day and time (they normally appear by default) and enter the taxi driver's license number
To find out the rates, click on Know your rate and check what the prices are. The prices provided by the application are based on these figures, so they are completely adjusted to reality.
