This is the renewed Netflix application for Android and iPhone
Table of contents:
Netflix, the streaming movie and series service has a very intuitive design for its application. It allows us to navigate through different categories, see different content to download, configure some parameters, etc. It is a highly elaborated application, which also meets the design requirements that Google implements for its devices in the case of Netflix for Android, and iOS in the case of Netflix for iPhone. But, it seems that soon we will see a redesign in this application, with small changes and some other new features.
According to what we have been able to read on Droid Life, Netflix is working on a new menu bar for the Android and iOS app, once again complying with Google's orders for the design of apps- In addition, they will also include a possible new notification control. This bar will soon be located in the lower area. It will have four main categories First, the Home, where the covers of all the content are shown, as well as the different categories. Furthermore, there will be a search button, as well as a button to see all our downloads. Finally, we will have a category called ”˜My Profile”™. If we have notifications, it will show us a balloon with the number. On the other hand, from the My Profile category, we can control the different settings and profiles.
Not yet available to everyone
The new bar located at the bottom is not yet available to everyone. According to some users, this new feature starts to appear in version 5.10.1 But it seems that Netflix is releasing it in a limited way. Most likely soon it will be available to everyone. We will have to wait for a new official update. The menu bar at the bottom is already dethroning the hidden menu on the left side. More and more traditional applications appear with this menu, including some from Google.
