How to install and configure Franz
Using Franz is very simple. The first thing we will have to do is download the application. As we mentioned, is free for most uses. It is true that it has two payment plans, but they are very specific for certain users.
Once downloaded and installed, when running the application we will see a screen that urges us to create an account to use FranzBy clicking on "Create a free account" you will ask us for some information. Once filled out, a screen will appear in which we are urged to hire a "Help Plan" for the developer. Then he proposes to invite three friends to use Franz. If we do not want to do it, we can click on "I prefer to do this later".
When we get past these first steps, we'll have a screen with only the Get Started button visible. When we press it, another screen will appear in which we can select the services that we are going to configure. The first ones displayed are the most common, but if we click on "All services" we will see a more extensive list
We have all kinds of services available, from instant messaging like WhatsApp, to applications like Pocket, Linkedin and even Gmail.
When clicking on one of the services we will see a new screen where we can give it a name and enable or disable notifications. Once done, click on "Save service". When we have added all the services we want, we will close this screen by clicking on the X in the upper right corner
Now we will be back on the main screen. On the right side of the screen we will already have the services that we have added. But we need to configure them When clicking, for example, on WhatsApp, we will see the QR code that we have to use to synchronize WhatsApp Web with the mobile.
If we click on Telegram it will ask us to register. And if we click, for example, on Slack, it will ask us for an email address and password to enter our account.That is, the configuration is exactly the same as what we would do in the individual applications of each service
And that's it, we already have it ready. Once all the accounts are configured, we will have exactly the same interface that the applications offer separately Only in Franz we will be able to access, from the left panel, all the applications quickly. Also, notifications will be displayed in the form of balloons with a number on each of the application icons. A very quick way to know which application we should attend to.
