How to automatically create pet albums in Google Photos
Table of contents:
Google's artificial intelligence plays a key role in the photos application. It serves, above all, to recognize objects, places and people and, later, to be able to find them quickly. An example: we need to find those photographs from a trip we took five years ago to Paris. In this case, the app would use location if you had it turned on at the time you took the snapshots. If you had not activated it, the artificial intelligence should recognize the city. You would only have to put 'Paris' in the search bar and, instantly, all the photos of the French capital would appear.
The same happens with the people we photograph. The Internet giant's photo application recognizes and distinguishes the faces protagonists of our photos. We just have to do a little bit of our part to make the application perfect. We will identify each of those faces with an email and when we search for the person, we will have it located there. But not only with people: Google now knows that one cat is different from another. Or a dog. Even if you have a pet pig. And so, in this way, you can have your pets all together in an album, within the application.
The only drawback we found when organizing and creating pet albums in Google Photos is its difficulty. It's not that you need to be a design engineer, or anything like that, but it's not very intuitive.Surely more than one will appreciate this tutorial where we will help you create pet albums in Google Photos.
So you can create pet albums in Google Photos
If your phone does not have the Google Photos application pre-installed, don't wait any longer and download it directly from the Android application store. It is a very complete gallery application that, if you put it to good use, can become the one you use by default. You will only have to dedicate a couple of minutes to get to know it in depth and get the most out of it. Once you have downloaded and installed it, we will do the following:
As you can see, in the central part of the application, we can see different thumbnails hosted in the gallery. At the top of the application, the first album that we find (all the thumbnails that you see are albums created automatically by the application, which distinguishes between 'sites', 'things', 'videos'…) has the name 'People and pets'We enter this folder.
This is where we are going to create the individual folder with each of our pets. As you will see, in the same folder there are also the faces of the people we have photographed. The system for ordering people is the same as for pets. Search for your dog/cat/pig and click on its photo.
At the top, as a cover, you will see a small photograph of your pet in a circular frame. Just below, you will see 'Add a name' If you click here, we will move to a cover where different people will appear to choose from. Obviously, here we must write the name of our pet. In this case, 'Arale'. We write the name and press the 'Enter' button on our virtual keyboard. Don't worry if you go back to the previous screen and your cat is still nameless.Repeat the entire process again.
You should do the same with all the pets you have (and with those of your friends and acquaintances). Once you have created the album, access the previous screen and you will see how the album with the name of your pet appears, along with the other albums of people in the Gallery. Now, when you want to see your cat's album, simply type her name in the search bar and it will appear. It's that easy to organize and create albums of your pets in Google Photos.
