How to activate your location in real time on Telegram

First of all, update Telegram

If you want to activate your location in real time on Telegram, the first thing you have to do is update the application. If it is not up to date, you may not be able to access new features. Therefore, we recommend the following:

1. Go to the Play Store, the Google app store, and go to the My apps section. From here you should be able to update Telegram. Simply click on the Update button.

2. Give it a few seconds for the app to update. The download will start right away, so you won't have to wait too long.

This is how you can activate your location in real time on Telegram

1. Once you have the app up to date and the location feature up and running, you can get to work sharing your location. The next thing you have to do is access the chat or open one again with the contact you want.

2. Next, click on the attachment icon (the clip), located right in the text box. Next to the microphone. You will see that a menu is instantly activated from which you can share all kinds of files (images from the gallery, videos, music, contacts or location).

3. Choose the Location option. From here you can share both a fixed location and what concerns us: the location in real time.

4. Next, you will need to choose the type of location you want to share. In this case, you have to select the option Send my location during… (Updated while you move). It is the one you see marked in magenta.

5. When you have clicked here, Telegram will ask you to indicate how long you want to share your location with that contact. You can select the shorter option, 15 minutes. But you can also do it for an hour or, at most, eight. When you've made your decision, tap Share

6. Instantly, you will have started sharing your location in real time with your contact. You will see that it is updated with each movement. And that, within a circle, the remaining minutes are indicated during which the location will continue to be shared.

How do I stop sharing my real-time location?

If you want to stop sharing your location in real time with any of your contacts, all you have to do is press on the Live Location box. Then, you will have the option to choose a couple of things. The first, Send your current location, to add more information to your location.

The second, which is the one we are interested in, has to do with the possibility of stopping sending your location. Click here and the process will end. You can activate it again when you consider it. Follow the same steps as above and you're done.
