Good news for big Nintendo fans: their classic game Animal Crossing is coming to mobile soon. The video game will be called Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp and it will be available for Android and iOS next November.
Animal Crossing on mobile: everything we know so far
In general, many of the classic video games are adapted to the mobile version by modifying parts of the narrative or even the aesthetics. In the case of Animal Crossing, everything indicates that the smartphone game will be quite similar to the classic console version, and will probably become one of the adaptations more faithful to the original title.
That's right: there are some differences regarding the scenario in which our virtual character will move. Instead of becoming mayor of a city, you will settle in the middle of nature with a caravan and you will be in charge of managing a campsite.
Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp will include all the mini-games we saw in the original game, and probably others like it: fishing, hunting critters, talking to other animals … It is expected that in special times there will be themed or limited edition costumes and items (for example, for Christmas).
What is still not well known is how we can interact with other friends who also play on their mobiles.Hopefully you'll be able to save your progress online and participate in other players' campsites in some way, but we'll finally find out with the game's release.
Price and availability
The mobile game Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp will be available in November 2017 for both iOS and Android. It can be downloaded for free although there will be many payment options integrated into the application.
The exact release date has not been confirmed, but on the video game's website there is a registration form where you can leave your details to receive an email as soon as the title is available.
Seabeard, another alternative for Android
If you don't have the patience to wait until November, you can try Seabeard, a mobile video game also inspired by the original Animal CrossingIn this case, the story takes place on the coast, and almost all the minigames are related to the sea and the beach.
Seabeard is available for Android from Google Play and for iOS from the Apple App Store.
