Google's Play Store app store changes design
Table of contents:
The Android application store, Play Store, has dawned with a new design change. It is more of a reorganization of the existing design in search of a better distribution of the apps In addition, the side tab from which we can access our downloaded movies, apps and games. Let's take a look at those changes in a bit of detail in case some of you haven't noticed yet.
Start Menu
First, the old version of the Play Store. Then the current one.The most notable change can be found as soon as we enter the Play Store. If you look at it, the top categories have undergone a reordering We used to have two main sections, Apps & Games, and Movies, Music & Books. Then, below, we found the subsections: Most popular, Games, Categories, Selection of our experts, Family and Beta access.
In Google they must have realized the enormous weight that the consumption of games has in the Play Store, and for that reason they have decided to give it more visual importance in the start menu. For this reason, the Games section has "raised division", and it goes from being among the subsections to being at the top. Now, the start menu is finally called Start, and right after that we already have Games. The next sections are Movies, Music, Books, and Newsstand. The subsections have stayed the same, except for Games, which is obviously gone.
Personal Tab
The Play Store home tab: before and after. The Play Store home menu overhaul was also supposed to affect the side tab. Here, the change is slighter and more than one may not notice if they don't pay attention. Until now, when opening the tab, the Applications and games option appeared first, and inside, a subtab called My applications and gamess. Then we had a second section called Movies, Music, Books, and right after that, separate Movies, Music, and Books icons. It wasn't a very logical organization.
With the update, we find a first option that is My apps and gamesBelow we have the main page, which takes us to the beginning, and then the subdivision by categories, starting with Games. The rest of the tab has been left unchanged.
As we can see, this reorganization has been for the better, and now it is much easier to view the content. In addition, unnecessary repetitions have been avoided. Good for Google.
