An Outlook failure leaves hundreds of users without mail
Table of contents:
A bug in the Outlook application has prevented hundreds of users from being able to send and receive emails this Monday. The service stopped working at mid-morning, according to some of those affected, and was restored late in the day. However, it is not a general fall. It has only affected some Microsoft email accounts.
The error has occurred both in the mobile application and in the online service and email programs on computers. In this way, although users can access their account, they cannot exchange messages When sending emails, they remain in the drafts tray and the message "it was deleted" appears. There was an error and we haven't been able to send the message yet."
The problem has not only affected Spanish users. From Microsoft they point out that it is a failure in the "intermittent connectivity that is affecting customers in some European countries" In the same way, they add that they are already working "to resolve it as soon as possible." Despite this, the scope of the failure is still unknown and how many users it may have affected.
When did the Outlook problem start?
Microsoft mail failures began to register around 12 noon. It was then that the first affected began to ask on social networks what was happening. However, it seems that in some cases the Outlook problem dated back to the early hours of the morning
@Outlook and @hotmail have been down since 10:30 in the morning, and there is no information about it. Feedback would be appreciated.

Despite the fact that Twitter began to abuzz with complaints from those affected, Microsoft's response has been long in coming. It was not until early in the afternoon when the company began to communicate the failure. Apparently, one of the infrastructure elements that make up Outlook "was unable to process user requests as expected, causing the general availability of the Outlook service dropped unexpectedly”, according to the company's official technical service portal. This would have caused clients to be unable to send or receive mail.To remedy the situation, they are redirecting the requests to an alternative infrastructure. With this measure they hope to "restore the service and we monitor the environment while connectivity is recovered," they say.
In the early days, support was only able to provide a link for users to check if the Outlook problem was affecting their country.
