Install the beta version of WhatsApp

Remember that this feature is only available to users who are subscribed to the beta version of WhatsApp If you have the official version, you won't see this feature yet. Because it hasn't been released yet. Luckily, signing up is very easy.

1. The first thing you have to do is become a Beta Tester. To do this, you only need to go to this page and sign up as such.

2. Once you have taken the step, you will only have to install WhatsApp Messenger beta. You can do it from the Google app store.

1. If you already had the WhatsApp Messenger beta application installed, you will have to take the step of updating it. Access the Google Play Store from your mobile and click on My apps and games. Next, click on the Beta tab (it is the last option available).

2. Hit Update. Wait a few minutes for the download and update to finish. When it's ready, all you have to do is open WhatsApp. And you can start deleting photos, videos and GIFs from WhatsApp.

3. Within the application, access the Settings section. Choose Data and storage usage.

4. Next, you will see a new feature that has not yet been translated into Spanish. But it says Storage Usage. Click here.

5. From now on, the system will begin to calculate the amount of data occupied by each of your groups By the amount of messages, images, videos, GIFs, and audios shared. This process may be a bit slow. Everything will depend on the number of groups and the thickness of files exchanged and stored. Please be patient and wait a few minutes.

6. To delete data and save space, you just have to click on one of these chats or groupsYou will access a summary screen, which indicates the number of shared images, GIFs, videos, audios, contacts, text messages and locations.

7. Next, click on Manage Messages and select those items you want to delete. When you are done with the selection, tap on the bottom option Clear messages. Repeat the same procedure as many times as necessary to clean your computer's memory of unnecessary content.
