How to Take and Post Panoramic Photos on Facebook
Table of contents:
360º content in the Facebook app has been in place since the end of last year. Until now, this concept was focused on video. However, now we can also apply it to photos, and without leaving the same Facebook app.
At the cost of more space in the already heavy Facebook app, we are adding one more function that for some will be most interesting, and for others, just an obstacle and more megabytes in its internal memory. We are now going to focus on seeing how, step by step, you can use the new Facebook tool, which will allow you to take and share both panoramic and 360º photos
Searching for function
Many of you will wonder, can my phone also take those photos? The answer is yes. No special camera needed. The camera takes a series of photos that are then put together to create a panoramic or 360º landscape.
First, we have to enter our Facebook app, and click on the space designed to publish. When doing so, a lower tab will open where we will have a huge number of options. At first glance we will not find the one that interests us, so we will have to scroll down until we find 360º Photo
Taking the photo
Once we click on 360º Photo, a small notice will appear to inform us of how the tool works, and then it will take us to the camera. As a new element, in the camera we are going to see that there is a central viewfinder (like the one in the cover photo) that will mark the center of the photograph.
The moment we click on the button to take the picture, the process begins. We will then see how an arrow appears on the button (which we no longer have to keep pressing). This tells us that we have to move the camera to the right, turning on our feet It is important to keep the camera as straight as possible, so that the frame does not blur be affected. Even so, the viewer itself warns us if we are getting out of it.
When we have turned around, we click the blue button again, and then the photo begins to be assembled. It takes a few seconds, in that sense it is quite an efficient function. If the case happens that we change our mind and do not want to take the photo, we can also press the button with the X,and the process will be paralyzed.
When the photo is already assembled, it will appear ready to be published, and with a finger symbol will allow us to move around the photo to view the resultWe can then publish it or not. Regardless of what we decide, the photo will be saved to our camera roll anyway.
Panoramic photo
What happens if we don't want to get the full 360º spectrum? We don't need to go all the way, we just go as far as we consider sufficient, and hit the blue button again So we can create beautiful panoramic photos at the moment.
Any of the two types of photo will be represented the same on the person who sees it: with a viewer to move through all the content Of course, when viewing the photos on our reel or when sharing them later on other networks, the photo will be displayed as you have above.
In summary, it is a function to take into account that makes the publication menu of the Facebook app even more complete. It will allow us to register more accurately some environments that surround us, or landscapes that require a broader view in order to be properly anticipated.
