Text WhatsApp States come to Android

A company spokesperson has informed VentureBeat that the new function for WhatsApp States has been launched today. So users who have a device running Android will have the opportunity to start enjoying them starting now or in the coming days.

The tool, which until now only allowed you to include photos and videos and do simple editing tasks, will now also offer users the possibility of creating your own texts. And frame them with a background color. Choose the font you like best. Or add links.

WhatsApp text statuses, available to everyone

Until now, text WhatsApp States had only been tested since the beginning of August with a very small group of users. After this testing phase, the company has announced that this new formula will be available to the entire community that uses WhatsApp

To use text WhatsApp States, simply go to the States section and press the button to create a new one.In principle, from here the choice of background color will be perfectly viable. What we have seen so far are flat colors such as red, blue or gray. We can also choose the type of font, as well as its tone.

From there, it will only be necessary to write the text and edit it, if necessary. We say this because the words or phrases that are included in the States may carry links. Then, the contacts who read your State will have the opportunity to click on it. And go to the page you propose.

These text WhatsApp States, like the others, will be visible for 24 hours. After that time (unless the user has decided to delete them before), the states will disappear.

Why can't I use text WhatsApp Statuses yet?

At the moment, and after updating the application, we have not been able to check its availability.Not even in its beta version. This makes us think that the update has not yet been fully deployed So we will have to wait for news for the next hours and days.
