Instagram improves its photo responses for direct messages
Table of contents:
Instagram continues to offer new improvements for its users, this time, in relation to direct messages. The possibility of replying to messages with photos is nothing new, however, now we can interact with the photos and videos they send us by making collages On their official blog account, although any user who has the latest version downloaded (10.34), can now enjoy this new feature.
With the new update, we will be able to respond to photos sent to us in direct messages with new photos that include the original photo. As a collage, we can place the photo that you initially sent us anywhere in our response, selfie or not, to make a fun montage. Another option is to split the camera, to our liking, with the photo sent and our response.
In addition to the option of taking the photo and placing it wherever we want in our response, we can also add stickers or write texts in any color and size, the same as if it were one of our Instagram Stories. It is an option that gives a lot of room for users to perform more private interaction with the usual functions plus these other ones added.
How to do it
Let's imagine that we receive a private message that includes a photo. That photo can already be one that has been taken with the camera at the moment, or a photo shared by another user. Once viewed in the chat itself, a specific button appears where we see the word Reply and the camera symbol
By clicking it, the camera will open, with all its options, and in one part of the screen we will be able to see a na screenshot of the photo that we have received sent in thumbnail With your fingers you can move that photo around the screen, choose its orientation and also its size.
If we directly tap on the photo, the response will have a split screen format, always occupying the original photo above. If we change our mind and want to be able to move the photo again, we tap on it again.
In addition, we can choose if we want the answer to be made using the camera, or a photo from our library. Simply by dragging your finger up, a lower menu will open with our most recent photos from the last 24 hoursWe will be able to use these library photos also combining them with the collage or split screen format. Once we have the arrangement made, we choose the stickers we want, the text and the color we like, and finally we click on the recipient's profile picture, and we send it.
What happens if we don't want to use the collage system for answers? We then have to give up the option of answering the photo, and return to the usual system, that is, click on the blue camera button in the lower corner left, take the photo and send it.
Photos with expiration
While the photos shared by other users are kept in our Instagram chat history, we must remember that the photos taken exclusively for that chat are temporary, they can only be viewed twice. After both times, they will not be able to be answered with the collage system Besides, the only way we have to save these photos is by means of a screenshot, although we we inform that the other user will receive a notice that such capture has been made.
Instagram has undoubtedly become the social network of reference in terms of lifestyle. He has known how to play the Snapchat league better than Snapchat, and that is why he does not stop updating a system that many users love, because it is fun, social and encourages share content over and over again. Good for Instagram, we hope to see more updates like this.
