This is how the function to delete WhatsApp messages will be called
Table of contents:
At the end of June we learned that WhatsApp is preparing a new function to delete those messages that we regret sending. In beta versions, its possible name was hidden. We knew that it could be called "Revoke", although it seems that it might not end up like that in the end. A new leak confirms that could be "Deleted for all",as new screenshots show.
If we look at the screenshots, in the new beta of Android 2.17,303 shows a name change for the upcoming function to delete WhatsApp messages. In the images you can perfectly appreciate that when we don't want someone to read a message that has already been sent, the app will ask us if we want to delete it. From there we would have several options: "deleted for everyone" (we imagine that it would be in the case of having more than one member in the conversation), "deleted for me" or "cancel".
Delete for all
It is unknown at this time when "Deleted for All" would be available and if it would end up with this name. WhatsApp recently explained how we would have to proceed to delete a message already sent. The company commented that on Android you would have to press and hold above the message in question and then do it on the menu that would be displayed as we see in the previous screenshot .
Also, iOS users would follow very similar steps: long press on the message, then click Recover That message sent that we regret. However, there would be a number of limitations. Everything indicates that it would only be available when both interlocutors were using the latest version of the application. In addition, whoever requests a recovery of the message would not have proof that it has been carried out successfully. For its part, as in other services such as Gmail, we would have a maximum time for the message not to reach its recipient. In the case of WhatsApp it would be five minutes. After that time, if we regretted sending it, there would be nothing to do.
