LEGO Boost
Table of contents:
There is very little left for LEGO Boost, the game to program robots, to go on sale. It will be next August and it will come with the possibility of using a special application to make the experience even easier. Announced last January, the LEGO Boost follows the idea of Lego constructions of always, although adding a touch of modernity for children and adults. With this new kit we will be able to have a complete construction and programming set to which sounds and movements can be added.
Basically, the company's idea is that children (and not so children) can approach the world of programming in a fun wayAll this will be done through the mobile application, which includes a guide with instructions, as well as different basic code commands to bring five different Lego creations to life. To find out if this application is compatible with your device you will have to enter this link and check it. At the moment, only some Android devices from Samsung, Motorola, LG, HTC, Sony or Huawei are supported. In any case, the company claims to be expanding this list with new models.
Who can play LEGO Boost?
As we say, this kit is specially designed for children aged 7 and up, although, logically, they may need the help of their parents. In a didactic way, children will be able to add different movements and even their own recordings of voice to all the creations they make. Lego Boost offers more than 60 different activities, which will guarantee leisure and fun in equal parts. Programmable bricks can be alternated, and can be combined with the company's existing toys. By mixing both, you can create new motorized and motion-sensitive constructions.
At the moment you can build five different models: Vernie the robot, Frankie the cat, the guitar 4000, the Autobuilder or the Multi-Tool Rover 4 (M.T.R.4). Each of them has basic notions of different construction. In this way, children will be able to acquire progressive difficulty through new challenges. Finally, add that this kit is made up of 843 pieces, a motor called Move Hub, made of three pieces and a special mat on which the robots move.We will find three bases available in this kit: one for walking to make animals, one for driving vehicles and one for the entrance to create a space station or fortresses and castles.
