How to use your own voice for GPS on iPhone
Table of contents:
Waze has already made available to iOS users the option of being able to record their own voice in GPS directions Instead of having to go through various pre-installed recordings, we could fully customize using our voice or that of any friend who would lend himself to it. Something that until now was only possible on Android but is now available for iOS.
In version 4.26 that has appeared on the App Store, iOS users are allowed to “record their own voice instructions to guide you on the road” on their GPS. In other words, it can be quite amusing to hear ourselves telling us where to go, or even ask someone we know, a relative or whoever to do it for us. Come on, our mother can take us to our destination and make sure we don't get lost.
How to put our own voice in the Waze GPS
If we want to use our voice for Waze instructions, we have to follow a series of steps and above all, speak very clearly.
First of all, we will go to the area of the options -a toothed wheel-. Once we are in this option, in the 'Advanced configuration' part, click on the 'Sound and voice option '. From there, the next step is to access ‘Voice Commands‘. In fact, it is the part where we find various voices from the United States, in Basque, Catalan, English... we have Penelope and Joanna in Spanish, Uxía in Galician...
To record ours, we will click on 'Record new voice'. When we come to this option, we already see that they tell us that “for security, be very clear. Your recordings are used to guide you on your route, so make sure they're accurate«.
We will name this recording, and later we will record the voice cues It will indicate in text what we have to say and the maximum duration of each audio. Once we have everything recorded and we have named this voice, we can share it with our friends. We can also post it on the Internet, so that everyone can follow our instructions in Waze.
