Groups in instant messaging applications have their detractors and defenders. And, like everything in life, it has its positives and, of course, its negatives. Gathering a good handful of people in the same room can be good to communicate in unison. Or to maintain constant communication with said people. But it also happens that the more people, the more notifications. At this point, familiar to all, can you imagine what it must be like to participate in a group that has 10.000 members!!?
Now Telegram has made this function of the so-called 'Supergroups' possible in its version 4.1. In the so-called 'Supergroups' we can add up to 10,000 people. Do you need to have a group of such characteristics? Well, below we give you the keys so you don't lose a note about them.
Add up to 10,000 users
If until now in Telegram groups we could 'only' include 200 people, now the number has risen to 10,000. They have therefore become a tremendously effective tool for communicating something to a massive number of people.
Availability of supergroups on any platform
As was the case in groups of 200 people, when you create a supergroup you will have it available on any platform from which you access Telegram, whether it's a tablet, mobile or computer staff. So you will always have this huge communication channel at hand.
Administrator Rights
Due to the huge number of participants in supergroups, the original creator may designate multiple admins to keep chaos down. In addition, these different administrators will have different types of privileges: add new participants to the group, delete messages, ban participants, pin messages, or even add to your time, new administrators.
Partial Bans
Just as administrators can enjoy certain privileges over other participants, they can be partially banned from different functions. If an administrator doesn't want to kick a certain group member out altogether, he can disable some of her functions. In the following screenshot you can see the different options, among which are 'Send multimedia files', 'Send stickers and GIFs', 'Send embedded links'.
Recent Actions Tab
Due to the huge amount of actions happening within the same supergroup, and due to the larger number of admins, a recent actions tab was absolutely necessary. The supergroup will have a tab in which a report will be created with all the actions that the administrators carry out.
Instant Search
You will be able to search for any message with great precision among all those that are published within the supergroup.
Smart Notifications
You will be able to mute the group, except when a member names you specifically or responds to any of the messages you have sent personally.
Pinned messages
The administrator can pin or anchor any message he wants, so that it always appears at the top of the group. A good anchor message could be the group rules.
File sharing in supergroups
You can send and receive files up to 1.5 GB within supergroups. You can access them directly from any of your devices.
Make your supergroup public
If you think your supergroup may be of general interest, you just have to create a link for everyone who wants to join it. A link that could be t.me/supergroupname. At that moment, share the link with whoever you want and you will already have new members.
