With the arrival of July, there is no doubt that summer is here and the beach season begins If you are going to spend the summer in Spanish coasts this year, we propose five applications that can help you find out about the state of the beaches and find the perfect destination. Take note!
1. Play
Playea is one of the most complete applications to find beaches for your vacations. You can search by name or by location, and filter results based on amenities or features.
You can install Playea by downloading it from Google Play or from the App Store for iPhone. And once you enter the application, you can start looking for the beaches according to the characteristics you prefer.
At the top there is a search bar to enter the name of a beach. When entering a specific beach, the detailed file is shown, with the average score of the users, the services, the weather forecast and the instructions to get there.
Each beach also has a comments box where users can post useful details or observations for other travelers.
If you want to find a beach close to where you are and with specific characteristics, you can also search by location.On the main screen there is a list of filters to find the perfect beach: by type of environment, by composition, by difficulty of access…
In these filters you will also find nudist beaches, beaches that allow dogs, beaches with WiFi connection, with parking, etc.
2. Blue Flags Beaches
This app, available for Android, has the complete catalog of beaches recognized with the "blue flag" cleanliness distinction. You can find them by region and learn about the rest of the features and services they offer.
The application is from the same Playea developers, so the aesthetics are very similar.
3. Blue Flags for iOS
This is the official application of the network of blue flag beaches. Like the app we have mentioned for Android, it allows you to search for beaches with this badge in Spanish territory.
The application also has a map in which all the points with blue flag beaches are indicated so that they can be found by location.
You can download the app from the App Store for your iPhone.
4. Tides, Ports and Beaches
This application offers detailed information on the main characteristics of each beach. Upon entering, a map of Spain appears in which we can zoom in little by little, selecting provinces and towns until we reach a specific beach.
The beach tab shows very important information about the state and the services they offer. We can consult, for example, the measurements of the beach, the sunrise and sunset forecast or the contact information in case of emergencies (nearest hospital with phone).
The tab for each beach also offers real-time information on the tides, with the times of high and low tide, the current state of the tideand the height it will reach at each moment.

5. My Tide Schedules
My Tide Schedules shows detailed information about the rise and fall of tides on the beach that we select. The information is complemented with sunrise and sunset data.
When you select a location on the map, you can save it as a favourite and thus you will have at hand the list of beaches you visit most often .
