Pokémon Go raids are already a reality. The expected June update has brought this new addition in addition to other news. This new game mode allows you to join forces with other players to defeat very strong Pokémon. In this way, gyms gain more attractiveness, after so long without any exchange rate. In fact, it is possible that with this novelty Niantic will be able to promote this title again, which has been experiencing a drastic decline since its inception. If you want to know a little more about the raids, stay tuned. We give you five keys that you should know.
1. How to know if a Raid is available
Niantic has designed the raids to be very easy to find. They can be located through a tab located next to the one that shows Nearby Pokémon. If you enter it you will see two types of raids: those that are running and those that are not. In the event that Pokémon GO raids are not yet available in the gym, an egg and a countdown will appear. It's just like what you see when you walk to the gym. Specifically, that countdown is the one that will mark the start of the raid. Just upon reaching zero, a Pokémon will appear automatically.
2. How to join a Raid
At the moment you decide if you want to fight you must take into account a series of basic aspects. One of them is that the limit of players in the raids is 20. That is, you will not be able to enter the same gym with this limit unless one of the players leaves. On the other hand, it is also necessary to take time into account. In normal raids, players have one hour to kill the Pokémon. Those 60 minutes are divided into five minute fights After those five minutes you can go out and heal your pets before coming back. Logically, doing so means that other players can take their place.
We can give you a trick to get more rewards in Raids: calculate the minutes that other players have been inside and enter only if the defender wants to there is very little life left. It is best to join a raid that is already running, something you can do without problem if there is space. Also, it is also important that you know that you will have to get a raid pass to join one.It is very easy to get one. You will have to collect the objects that are offered in the gym pokéstop. Below we summarize the characteristics of the passes.
- You can only have one a day
- You can have one pass per Incursion
- When you use it, it disappears
- You can use the same pass to enter the same raid as many times as you want.
3. Raid Types
Pokémon Go raids are divided into five levels. The most important are those of the higher levels (4 and 5) where you can find Pokémon with up to 25,000 combat points. For example, Snorlax or Rhydon In fact, it is normal that the last level is when the Legendary Pokémon are revealed. You will have five minutes to defeat them, something that is quite a challenge for the best trainers. Logically, to reach this level of the Raids you will have to have successfully participated in many of the basic ones.
4. Pokémon you will encounter during your Raids
During your raids you will meet different types of Pokémon Depending on the level they will have more or less high combat points. Inside the pink eggs you can run into Magikarp with a maximum combat point of 1,165. Also with Bayleef (max combat points 4,375) or Croconaw (max combat points 5,207). We leave you the list with the most common ones and their different characteristics.
5. Awards
At the moment the distribution percentage of each of the rewards of the Raids is unknown. Of course, we know it is what the prize will consist of after defeating a boss Pokémon. These are the following objects:
- Golden Razz Berry
- TM Loaded

Also, champions will be able to enjoy a number of special Pokéballs. Thanks to them they will have the opportunity to get the defending Pokémon of the gym.
