An ideal app to keep our photo library tidy and well organized.
5 tricks for the Google Photos app
Get Unlimited Cloud Space
If you are one of those who cannot conceive of being without taking photos over and over again. Or one of those inveterate travelers who don't carry a camera and use their mobile phone. If, ultimately, you usually store a huge amount of photos, you should know that Google Photos offers free infinite storage in the cloud.
To make sure that you have configured the application so that the photos do not take up space in the cloud storage, you must go to the upper left menu of three lines. Here we look for 'Settings', then 'Backup and synchronization' and, later, 'Image quality'. You must have 'High quality' activated. If you want them to be stored in original quality, that is, in the same format that they have been shot, you must pay a fee : 100 GB for 20 euros per year, 1 TB for 100 euros per year, 2o0 euros for 2 TB and 300 euros for 3 TB.
Archive the photos you don't want to appear on the cover
Very recently, Google Photos gave us the possibility to archive the photos we want so they don't appear in the mosaic when we open the application. Either because its content is sensitive, or to leave only the most important ones on the cover, to archive photos you must do the following.
In the three-line menu, look for the 'File' section. Press the upper right icon, represented by the icon of a photograph and the '+' sign. Once the photos appear, select all the ones you want to archive, simply by clicking on them. Then press 'Done' and they will be archived and hidden from the application home page.
Free up space on your device
As? Deleting the photos that you already have a backup copy of. If you already have it available in the cloud and, therefore, in the application, why do you want to continue having it on your mobile? Doing this regularly will prevent photos from cluttering up and photos that take up valuable space.
To free up space from Google Photos, we just have to press the three-point menu and search for 'Free up space'. The application will automatically calculate how many photos it can delete from your device. And don't worry, these photos will continue to appear on the cover of the application, since they have a copy of cloud security.
How to create a photo collage
With Google Photos you can create collages with your favorite snapshots very quickly and easily. To do this, on the cover of the application, you just have to press the lower icon 'Assistant'. Once on this screen, you can choose what you want to make: an album, a collage, an animation or a movie. We are left with the second option and press.
Then, we select the photos that we want to appear in the collage (a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 9) and press ' Create'. As simple as that.
Smart Search in Google Photos
Few people know that you can search for photos in the Google Photos gallery by typing terms that are related to them. For example, Do you want to search your cat photos? Then you put 'cats' in the search bar. Or 'Santiago de Compostela' if you want to relive that wonderful trip you took 2 years ago.
