Facebook Messenger is renewed to facilitate navigation

One of the great alternatives to WhatsApp that we have today is Facebook Messenger. In fact, many of us turn to this tool when WhatsApp goes down... and lately this happens more than desired. To make this application a more comfortable and accessible place, the designers of facebook have decided to remodel its home screen. These are the main changes we'll find when we open Facebook Messenger in the coming days.
Browsing by tabs and unread counter
The main screen has undergone some minor changes to make the application a much more comfortable and better organized site. Now, on top of it, we'll have three columns.
The first one belongs to messages: recent conversations and active contacts. Also, the list of contacts celebrating your birthday and more conversations.
- The second column mentions all those contacts that are active at that moment. It would come to mean the 'Connected' of the entire life of the Messenger. If someone is online, they may reply to you before someone not listed in this section.
- Finally, in the third column we can see the groups that we have created. Arranged in mosaic, here you will be able to find any group that you have created or in which you are included.
Other notable changes in the new version of Facebook Messenger
- Unread message counter: Now when you have an unread message, a red icon will appear with the pending number next to it of the house button.
- The camera button has been reduced, making it similar to the other buttons in the application. Thus, a more homogeneous design is achieved in the app.
- The games button becomes more prominent, by being located at the bottom, on the right side of the app.
Here are the changes Facebook Messenger will undergo in the coming weeks. It will hit Android and iOS stores next week.
