Sometime in our lives, we are going to owe someone money. And we are not talking about large sums, but rather small figures that barely reach two figures. Amounts that usually belong to a common gift, to a dinner with friends, the share of a shared streaming service... Sometimes, this was dispatched promptly, delivering the money on the spot. Other times, it is not so simple. And this is where ING's application, Twyp, comes in.
The application is completely free and you can download it from the Play Store. It is used, as we have said before, to make payments, only with the mobile, among your contacts. The requirements that must be met to be able to make payments through Twyp are to have a card and a bank account. And, of course, that your contact also has it installed.
Taking all these points into account, we leave you the link so that you can download it and start using it. At first it can be a bit cumbersome, but if you follow the steps in this article you won't have any problem.
How to use Twyp
First steps
When you have the application installed on your mobile phone, you must enter your phone number. Twyp will then send you a code that the device will automatically recognize. You must choose a personal pin to access the application Remember that it must be one that you have not previously used, or in any other application.Once this is done, we will have full access to the application. We can edit our profile and photo, add the card number to make payments, etc.
How to request and deliver payments to our contacts
With Twyp it is very easy to receive and demand payments, whatever the reason. To do this, we have two tabs on the main screen: our contacts with Twyp and the rest. To start a transaction, of any kind, open a chat window with the desired contact by pressing the '+' button.
On the following screen we see an icon of coins When pressed, two new icons will be displayed: some coins placed vertically and a bell. If we choose the coin button we will be making a payment to the chosen user. If we select the bell button, we will be requesting a payment from the contact.
To request a payment, we simply choose the contact that owes us the money, select the bell icon and write the concept of payment . Thus, later, you can have all the transactions you have been making well categorized.
When you receive a payment, will automatically be charged to your Twyp balance. You can leave it in the application as if it were a wallet, to make future payments without using the wallet, or withdraw it to your bank account.
How to withdraw funds from Twyp to my bank account?
Once you have accumulated money in the application, you can request that it be sent to your bank account, whatever it may be. To do this, once you have clicked the 'Withdraw' button, a window will open, requesting the amount you wish to withdraw and the IBAN number of the destination account. You will only be asked for the IBAN number once. If you want to change it, just click on the number.
Now, when you enter the chat tab, each contact will be followed by an icon: message, coin, or ringtone. The currency means that that contact has paid you what was demanded. If a stamp appears, it means that you still owe what you requested.
This is all you need to know about Twyp, a very simple and practical way to make micropayments. Remember, however, that the application only allows you to make transactions of 1,000 euros per year. And commercial or profit-making use is prohibited!
