How to turn off automatic radio on Spotify
Table of contents:
The way we consume music has changed radically from time to time. If you had told us 20 years ago that there would be a day when we could listen to (almost) any song we wanted, at the time,we would have called you crazy. And here we are, listening to news without buying the record or turning on the radio.
And about radio, precisely, we are going to talk to you today in this mini-trick. Mini in content but very, very maxi in results.Because it is something that, surely, has happened to you, and you have not even realized it. This is a recent feature that Spotify added, relatively recently, in an update and that can leave us without data in the blink of an eye.
Spotify Automatic Radio: Say Goodbye to Data
When we go down the street, it is normal for us to listen to our playlists and downloaded Spotify albums at home. But, there are times, when we forget to put Spotify offline. Obviously, if we listen to a disc that we have downloaded, it will not waste data on us. But once it's done, Spotify keeps playing. Keep releasing music. This is what is known as an autostart radius.
If the record ends and you have auto-start radio on, Spotify will continue to play similar songs to the artist you heard previously. This is a great thing… as long as we are under WiFi. If, by mistake, we have been with the 'Offline' mode deactivated, the songs you listen to will spend data on you. And we don't always remember to activate the mode.
That is why Spotify allows you to deactivate the automatic radio in a very simple way: when we open the application, we go to the 'Your library' section. Then, we go to the settings gear and, here, we look for the 'Autoplay' section You must make sure that this option is unchecked. Thus, even if you listen to a downloaded disc on the street in online mode, when it ends, no more music will appear.
