Samsung creates a virtual reality app for the National Archaeological Museum

The Korean company Samsung has just presented a virtual reality application for the National Archaeological Museum of Madrid Now, all museum visitors They will be able to live intensely the sensation of moving back in time, thanks to the Samsung Gear VR virtual reality glasses that will be at their disposal in each of the museum's rooms. This application will turn the visit experience into something much more enriching and fun.

The application, which can be used together with virtual reality glasses, has been created by Magoga Piñas, director and digital technician specializing in historical, landscape, and architectural recreations. Her work has been enjoyed in series such as 'Game of Thrones', 'The Impossible' or 'Igora'. In addition, of course, he has had the scientific advice of the museum team.

The application is called »Living in…» and includes 5 scenarios from the history of Spain (Prehistory, Protohistory, Roman Hispania , Middle Ages and Modern Age). With the help of a virtual guide, the museum visitor, thanks to the Gear VR glasses, will be able to visit a Paleolithic cave, the streets of a Celtiberian town, a market from the Caliphate period, the forum of a Hispano-Roman city or a house in the Golden age.

In addition to the virtual reality app, Samsung, in collaboration with the Museum, will launch a new application next fall to allow you to visit the museum remotely. Accessible from both a computer, tablet or mobile, anyone who wants to access the treasures of the National Archaeological Museum can do so at no cost. In addition, Samsung has delivered more than 80 tablets to serve as a multimedia guide for all visitors.
