WhatsApp can now read your messages on the iPhone
The latest WhatsApp update has brought very interesting news for iPhone users. Now Siri, Apple's assistant, is able to read the text messages we receive through the application A feature that makes it easier for people to read messages people with visual problems. But also for moments in which we cannot answer the mobile. For example, if we are driving, we can tell Siri to read us the WhatsApp message that has just arrived. We can even respond using voice commands, without touching the mobile.
To achieve this functionality, all we have to do is update WhatsApp. The version we must have is 2.17.2, which only works on devices running iOS 10.3.
To find out what version we have installed we have to enter the application and click on Settings. We have this button located in the lower right part. Once here we will click on Help. At the top of this screen we will see the version of WhatsApp that we have installed.
The first time we tell Siri to read us a message, the screen you see at the top will appear. It tells us that we have to allow Siri access to WhatsApp. Logically we will have to say yes.
Once we give you permission to access Siri you can read the messages we receive. To do this, when we receive a new message, we say "Hey Siri, read me the last WhatsApp message". Siri will read the message to us, indicating who sent it and when it was sent. In addition, will give us the possibility to respond by voice
In short, a really interesting improvement that allows us to 'read' and reply to WhatsApp messages without having to touch the iPhone, using voice only.
