How to sort installed applications by use and size
Table of contents:
Something as basic and useful as sorting Android apps by use, size, or installation date was impossible in the app store. Until now. Although we still do not have a column of purchased applications, this represents an advance in terms of having, perfectly located, all the applications that we have installed, and even if we want to order them by size and use, to see if they are still worth having.
How to organize installed apps in the Android store
Now, it is tremendously easy to keep an eye on the applications that we have on our mobiles. Now, with mobiles up to 128 GB, we tend to accumulate and accumulate and, in the end, we don't know what to do with so many. What better than making a sieve and keeping the ones we use the most?
To do this, we are going to access our Android application store, to the 'My applications and games' section. We will find this section in the side menu. As you will see, the screen has changed substantially. Now it is divided into 5 parts that we proceed to detail.
Updates
List of the applications that we have installed and that require an update, either to get improvements, new functions, etc. On the one hand, we have the list of pending updates and, on the other, the most recent ones. We recommend that you only update under Wi-Fi network.
Installed
This is the tab that interests us the most for this specific case: order the applications by use and size. To do this, we go to the menu with three lines that we have on the right at all and open it. We are given the possibility to order all the applications that we have installed at that moment by:
- Alphabetical order
- Last update
- Last Use
- Size
In our particular case, for example, we see how the application Spotify Music is the one that most concerns us, 633 MB. Follow the YO-KAI game that, as we can see, we haven't used it for three days, so it should be uninstalled. To do this, we just have to click on it and it will send us to the app screen. We uninstall and that's it. Now we see how the second one is Facebook.
It is up to you to assess how much it is worth having one or another application installed. In 'Usage', as we lower the screen, we see those applications that we haven't opened for 2 weeks Why do we want them to continue using space on our phone ? This is up to you.
Collection
A list of all the applications that, one day, passed through your life and through the life of your phone. Wouldn't it be great if we could filter by 'Free' and 'Paid'? We'll keep waiting.
Beta
All the applications to which you have beta access, that is, you will enjoy the news before the rest of users, suffering, Of course, the inconveniences that it may suffer as it is not a finished version of it.
Family Collection
Very recently, Google offered the possibility to share those paid applications with members of the same family, or those contacts that you consider yourself deserving of such a privilege. This will show all the apps of those people who have added you to their family collection.
From now on, ordering Android applications will be much more comfortable, saving space with it.
