Not long ago we told you about a fun game with anime airs, called Happy Hop. In it, we drove funny characters through a devilish circuit, making them jump with the touch of a finger. Its developers, a two-person team called Platonic Games, have just released a diametrically opposed game, out to make us smarter. Or, at least, to increase our spatial intelligence.
Spatial intelligence, according to Wikipedia, “the ability of the individual to deal with aspects such as color, line, shape, figure, space, and the relationship that exists between them.» In this sense, 'Symmetry' moves, the new puzzle that will drive fans of this type of game crazy.
Symmetry: a relaxing game of mirrors
A game with quite a nice design, quite relaxing music and effects, and a premise that lives up to its name. We will move through different constellations and each star presents a series of challenges. We will be shown, each time, a grid template, divided in the middle into two parts, with some of its gaps filled in. We must take these gaps as a reference, and fill in, in turn, the corresponding to its reflection.
The game mechanics are tremendously simple. His execution, not so much. Sometimes the template will be vertical and sometimes horizontal. The squares can be colored, to make things even more difficult.Once you manage to pass screens, the constellations will be unlocked. As the game progresses, things get more complicated: there are phases in which the squares change places, as time passes. If you liked Happy Hop, you shouldn't miss the opportunity to try Symmetry.
The game is completely free but with ads, although you can unlock them by paying a minimum of 1 euros and thus support this independent video game team. Symmetry also helps you increase your IQ. According to the creators of Happy Hop, Symmetry helps people with obsessive-compulsive disorder. You just have to press play and let yourself be carried away by these constellations and their reflections. A suitable game to get carried away and bring out our more zen side.
