Yes, although we have a paid version for €3, if all you want is to be able to download torrent files, you have the free version available.Weighing only 12 MB, the uTorrent app is very light and easy to use. In addition, it is updated very occasionally, so they assure you a good optimization
Integrated Media Library
In the app itself you can navigate the files you have on your device, whether they are downloaded with the app or not. In the menu you have a section that is »Media library». Here you can find the music and videos from your internal storage. Just choose the file and play it, no need for other applications.
Discover new torrents in the same app
The uTorrent application has a built-in browser from which you can discover new torrent files that are being shared on the network. You just have to go to the hamburger menu and click on »Discover».At the top, you will see a carousel with the latest news. If you want to search, click on the magnifying glass.
Download files only with WiFi
If you want the app to only start under WiFi connection, you can modify this function in the menu. This way you will avoid unnecessary data spending.
Premium features for €3
The premium features of this uTorrent are really interesting. If you buy the paid app you can have:
- Auto-shutdown of the app when the download is finished: forget to close the app by yourself and thus avoid consuming battery by continuing in background. As soon as you have downloaded the torrent, it will just close automatically.
- Battery Saver: Another function to save battery life. You can tell the app to turn off automatically, stopping downloading torrents, when the battery drops to a certain percentage. A very practical way to prevent the autonomy of your terminal from flying
- Out : the premium version, which you only have to pay once, removes any intrusive banners, making browsing much more fluid and comfortable.
