WhatsApp beta for Android launches a new chat design
Table of contents:
If you still suffer from the hangover of the new WhatsApp States, hold on, curves are coming. Or news, rather. And the thing is that the messaging application debuts a new design on Android phones. Of course, at the moment only in the beta or test version, which makes us think that it will soon reach all users. Although the final design may vary in a few days. For now, this is what the version of WhatsApp for Android looks like.
The curve is sexy
The changes come to the beta version for Android, and they do it with curves. Little by little, the straight lines are left behind to be fooled by the curves. Something that is appreciated, above all, in the text box, where messages are written. This now does not have corners, but semicircles on its sides. Also, it now includes three buttons instead of two. Along with quick photos (which also has a new icon) and Emoji emoticons, the share option is now added.
In this way, in the new design, the icon of the clip that gave access to the gallery of photos, videos, GIFs and documents, location or business cards (contacts), is also included in the space for messages. Something that should speed up the process of sending multimedia content.
More comunication
The place previously occupied by the clip icon is now taken over by the latest forms of communication added to WhatsApp. The video call and the Internet call have their own distinct icons in this place. Again, easy to find useful functions without burying them in hidden menus.
Now, as we say, this is a trial version of WhatsApp for Android. Only betatester or tester users have access to these changes. If all goes well, WhatsApp will bring this new design to the majority of users in the coming days through an update for everyone in the Google Play Store.
At the moment there is no news about the return of the old states or the function to revoke a message. Features that shouldn't be long in coming.
