Available for both iOS and Android, The Silent Age immerses us in an story between two worlds, in which a simple maintenance worker finds himself involved in a history that can affect the destiny of humanity.
The game has two chapters, the first is free, and the second is paid, it costs 5 euros. In the first we will know the beginning of Joe's story and how he ends up becoming a time traveler, and in the second we will know the conclusion.
Plot
Frank, Joe's coworker disappears one day, and there are some mysterious blood stains in his work area To Joe You'll be assigned your cleaning area without much explanation, and using your restricted pass, you'll discover a strange doctor who's been tricked and shot.
The doctor owns asmall time machinewith which he has traveled from the future. He now gives it to us so that we can find him in the present and let him know what is going to happen to him. Just as we are about to escape, a guard finds us and reports us to the police.
Suddenly we have become fugitives, and a dark fate awaits us if we don't begin to use wisely the machine that has given us given by the doctor.

As soon as we get the machine to receive sunlight, we can activate it, and will instantly take us to a moment in future time Combining the different realities, Joe will have to sharpen his wits to escape from prison, break into the hospital where the doctor is presently, and warn him of his dangerous fate.
Activating the time machine won't do us any harm, but it will make us realize that the future that awaits us is not promising at all, if we don't do something to avoid it: abandoned cities, destroyed buildings and corpses everywhere.
Gameplay
The way of playing is very reminiscent of the first graphic adventure games of the 90s, in the style of Monkey Island Simply by tapping on We will move our protagonist on the screen, and we will have to find objects that allow us to progress in the game ("use a knife with a rope", for example).
The 2D graphics aren't too complicated, but they don't affect gameplay either. The difficulty is not particularly high, but it does take a while to solve the various problems that Joe encounters.
When the character thinks, we have Spanish sub titles, but nothing is heard. However, when we talk to other characters, the audio is in English, and the sub titles are kept in Spanish.
One of the most attractive elements is the sound. In The Silent Age we are recommended to use headphones, since the care with which they have worked the soundtrack of the game is enormous. Apart from the changes when going from the past to the present, as we move through the screens, we will hear some effects, such as rain, human voices or the buzzing of a bee, closer or further from where we are.
Any fan of graphic adventure will enjoy The Silent Age, and if you are over thirty, it will also have a nostalgic aftertaste that you will surely appreciate. Even so, the game is perfect for all ages, the only requirement is that we like mystery and hit the jackpot. Our recommendation is that you try the first chapter, and if you like it, they will undoubtedly compensate you those 5 euros for the second chapter.
