The new function is called Pin to Chat, and its concept is to send a kind of chat invitation in a link. All this to avoid carrying out the process of sharing the phone number with that person. This way, all you have to do is create a link, click it, and start exchanging messages.
Of course, the system ends up resulting in a safe and secure conversation However, this feature is not useful for hiding information of the phone number. And it is that this is shared in the link itself. Therefore, it only serves to facilitate things between users who want to establish direct contact via WhatsApp.
How does it work
This tool must be used through the web browser, either on the mobile or on the computer. The idea is to create a link. This text should appear on it:

After the symbol=you must add the user's telephone number in international format That is, the prefix (in Spain it is 34 ), plus the phone number. All this without the need to include zeros in the prefix, the + symbol or any other usual sign in telephones such as parentheses. With the number +34 123 123 123, the final link would be like this: https://api.whatsapp.com/send?phone=34123123123.
Now all that remains is to share said link through any means, be it email, social networks, etc. Just clicking on it opens a WhatsApp chat to start exchanging messages.
Of course, this is useful if you already know the contact's phone number, or if you want to send the link with your own number to speed up communication.
