These are all the new features of Google Photos
One of the most complete photo storage applications in the cloud, Photos, owned by Google , reaches its update 2.8 with new functions that will make the experience of uploading and sharing clouds much more pleasant and easier. Here we are going to detail all that we can already enjoy and some others that will be enabled in the coming days.
Redesign of home screens, albums and images on device
Now, when we open the Google Photos application, the first thing that catches our attention is its new carousel design of thephotos we have on the deviceo. We will not need to enter a separate section, we will simply slide the gallery until we reach the desired photo. Likewise, at the top we can see cards classified by categories: Shared, Places, Things, Videos… that we can also select by sliding our finger comfortably.
If we scroll down the screen, we will see that the albums section now consists of two columns. In this way, the application makes better use of space, especially if you are the type of person who tends to have their snapshots organized in this way. Of course, the search bar is still intact, at the top of the screen.
The section of »photos on the device» have also undergone a two-column facelift: now we will have all the differentfolders from our gallery in convenient cards, filling the space and eliminating the indentation of the previous version.
Auto-stories
Don't want to have to wait for the Google assistant to notify you that you have a series of photos to create a story with ? Well, soon you will be able to make a beautiful story yourself with the photos that you choose. This new option, long awaited by all users of Google Photos, can be found in the three-point menu, between the sections of "shared album" and "Movie", according to information extracted from the apk code by the guys atAndroid Police
We have not yet been able to test this new functionality that will give us the possibility of having control over the stories that we can create. Hopefully this option will appear soon in a new update. For now, we will have to make do with the application's automatic assistant which, it must be said, does not work at all badly.
Nearby
Another long-awaited utility for all of us who use cloud storage every day is Nearby, What do you want? say this? Well, if we have geolocation activated in our terminal, we can share the photos we want with other users of the application.Although this functionality has been around in the apk code since last summer, it is now that we can finally enjoy it. Now, it will be easier than ever to be able to share the photos we have in the cloud with other devices.
