Instagram tests a photo album feature
Lovers of the most popular photography social network on the planet are in luck. Among its upcoming improvements, would be the possibility of creating photo albums in the application itself. The users of the Beta version of Instagram have reported this new functionality that will undoubtedly bring controversy, if they decide to implement it definitively.
According to what we have been able to find out through the Mashable page, this new functionality would bring a new look to the application, bringing it closer to little more to his first cousin, Facebook. You could now create photo and video albums, up to 10 items, simply by long-pressing on photos in the gallery. Are you going to Italy and feel the urgent need to create your own album? Well, you go to "gallery" and click on the circles that appear in the photos. The album will now be created.
Instagram, the new Facebook?
The aesthetic appearance of this new functionality has not yet been revealed, but what we do foresee is that, if it makes a definitive act of appearance, it will bring a tail. The fact that Instagram has its own photo album would undoubtedly bring it closer to the precepts of Facebook.Without a doubt, this movement could translate into a definitive categorization of the two social networks owned by Mark Zuckerberg: Instagram for photos and Facebook for videos (let's be clear: Who keeps their Facebook albums neatly arranged?)
Although it breaks a little with the aesthetic philosophy of Instagram,we also see its usefulness: with this new option to create albums we won't have to go bothering other users, that no matter how much they continued to scroll, those precious photos of our last visit to the town of our mother's family would continue to appear. It will be our decision whether to enter this or that gallery.
We would also win in design and organization of photos, especially if, as it should be, we can give a title to the photo or video album . Until we finally see this new albums feature on Instagram, it's all speculation, except what's already been revealed.
on Instagram: yet to be featured
In the middle of last month, we woke up to the news that Instagram intended to monetize Stories that he had previously copied to Snapchat, after the latter rejected 's offer to buy Facebook. If we already have the sponsored photos that appear, from time to time, among the photos on our wall, were they going to miss the opportunity to profit from the Stories?
It is to be appreciated, however, that this new revenue maneuver would not affect too much the way we already enjoy stories: these little »ad blocks» would be inserted between the different Stories of the users and, in addition, we could be able to skip them whenever we wanted. As you can see, not very intrusive and, who knows, more than one person may like it.
How about Instagram trying out a photo album feature ? Do you think it betrays the spirit of the app? Will it be useful to you? Do not forget to leave your opinion in the comments section.
