Detective for Samsung

The company Samsung, in collaboration with the organization Change Dyslexia , has presented an application for tablets that allows detecting the risk of dyslexia in children at a very early age. The app, Dytective for Samsung, offers a test that takes only 15 minutes and has 90% accurate in detecting dyslexia risk.

A Samsung test to detect dyslexia

The Dytective for Samsung app is free and available for both Android and iOS.It consists of a special test developed together with Change Dyslexia, which children can take to detect the risk of dyslexia as soon as possible.

The test is made up of linguistic and attention games with artificial intelligence, and the completion process lasts only 15 minutes. The result, which is based on an analysis of neural networks and structured data collected thanks to artificial intelligence, is 90% accurate. This high percentage makes the Dytective for Samsung test a good indicator of the real risk of dyslexia in the child.

The project is part of the campaign Technology with purpose developed by Samsung , with which the company wants to offer tools to break down social and educational barriers thanks to technology.

It is estimated that in Spain around 600.000 school-age children have dyslexia, so Samsung believes that the application can be a very useful tool to use both in the family environment and in educational centers , since the risk could be analyzed in all students at a very low cost (it would only be necessary to have a device Android or iOS compatible with Dytective for Samsung

Early detection of dyslexia is essential to be able to begin a process of guidance and help for children as soon as possible. It should not be forgotten that the difficulties in reading and writing caused by this disorder can contribute to triggering problems of failure and school dropout in the long term.

Although the data provided by the Samsung app does not work as a real diagnosis, it can help parents and educators to detect certain and encourage them to visit specialists who can confirm the diagnosis.
