Hundredrooms

Hundredrooms is a mobile application that allows you to compare prices of vacation homes on different portals (such as Airbnb or HomeAway, among others). It is available for mobile devices with operating system Android or iOS, although you can also access the browser from the mobile web browser or on the computer.

A search engine to compare prices on more than a hundred different websites

Hundredrooms is a metasearch engine that analyzes the prices of vacation homes (houses, apartments, chalets, etc.) in more than a hundred portals specialized in this type of rental: Airbnb, HomeAway,BeMate and even Booking are some of the pages studied so that the user can have all the offer available in a single place, and with a system that allows you to order results by price. In this way, according to the criteria specified at the time of searching, we will be able to find the home that best suits what we are looking for in a certain place, and with the lowest price in the available offer.

The application can become a good tool for scheduling vacations, as more and more people are choosing to rent vacation homes (instead of hotels) due to a series of advantages such as the possibility to have more space or to have a kitchen to prepare food, among other reasons.

How does Hundredrooms work?

The Hundredrooms application searches over 5 million holiday homes advertised on over a hundred such web portals. Once downloaded from Google Play (for Android devices) or from the Apple App Store (for devices iOS), we just have to enter the place we want to travel to in the search field to begin viewing results.

Logically, as the number of available homes can be very high, the key to quickly finding what best suits our needs is the use of filters, which are activated from the icon at the top right of the screen.

In this section we can indicate, for example, what type of home we are looking for (entire house, entire apartment, or room), as well as the basic characteristics we need: accessible for wheelchairs, with parking, with WiFi, with balcony…

The results displayed in the list can be sorted by popularity, by price (lowest to highest),by distance to the location we have selected ”“from the closest to the furthest away”“ or giving priority to bargains ; that is to say, to the houses that have a reduced price in a certain portal or for a limited time. We can also apply a filter by price, to automatically exclude homes that are out of our budget.

Finally, and since the application compares prices from many different portals, we can establish as a criterion that only the homes that allow immediate booking are shown (such as the results of Booking, for example), since many of these portals require a request process to the owner to verify if, indeed, the Housing will be available on the dates indicated.
