GIF have managed to conquer the Internet. And it is that this type of image file, although far from being new, has managed to adapt to the current times. Thus, pages like Giphy provide all kinds of content of this type for use in messaging applications, social networks, and other communication channels. But wouldn't it be fun to have animations directly on the wallpaper of our mobile Android? And no, I'm not talking about an animated wallpaper, but something simpler like a sensual gesture from Beyoncé, or a scene from Spongeboobes to animate the desktop.Well yes, you can, and here we explain step by step how to do it.
The first thing to do is download the application GifWidget It is a tool available only for terminals Android which also has a free version so we don't have to scratch our pockets at any time. After installing it, a simple configuration process must be carried out for each GIF animation that you want to embed on your desktop. Of course, always understanding that it will occupy the space of one or several applications, and it will not work as a mere wallpaper.
With this in mind, just long press on the desktop to access the Widgets menu or shortcuts. Here you have to find GifWidget and throw it to the hole that you want to fill with a GIF.
At that moment the application GifWidget shows a screen in which to select a GIF file stored in the terminal, use the service browser Giphy to find any you want, or use a recently applied one (if this is your first time using this app nothing will appear). The most useful thing is to take advantage of Giphy, since it has a huge amount of content of all kinds. In this case, just type a keyword to find related options.
When one of the GIF is selected, the application offers the possibility of choosing its quality and size, choosing between small, medium, large, or the same resolution as the font. Pressing the Create button ends the process and the widget-GIF is applied to the desktop wherever it was placed.
Like other widgets or shortcuts it is possible to make a long press on it to readjust it to the screen. This is being able to enlarge or reduce it to a single space, at will. In this way, it can occupy practically the entire screen or a mere frame on it. Of course, always without being able to place other icons on said animation.
With this, the animation is always displayed in a loop on the terminal screen, in that space where it has been placed. A fun way to give dynamism to the desktop of the device, although spending space and some extra battery. To achieve a more integrated result, it is best to use stickers or GIF that have with a transparent background , in this way it will look like another icon, and not like an image placed on the real background.
