Have you ever thought that your crooning in the shower could become music ? Well, now it's possible thanks to «Hum On!», the new application for Android.
The world of applications brings news daily for all sectors. In this case, the lucky one is the sector of musical applications, which is joined by «Hum On!».
“Hum On!” is a project that Samsung presented at the beginning of the year and which comes hand in hand with Waffle, the social network based on collaboration between users that they themselves have created and that is currently in beta phase.
And how does "Hum On!" work?
Well, as the name indicates, since "hum" means to hum, it's that simple: you only need one compatible mobile, for example, the new Samsung Galaxy S7 edge Open the application in it and press the option “record our sounds”, we go up to the microphone of the phone and hum what we want; we close the recording and now the application will go to recording the sounds it has recorded and it will process them converting them into a staff of musical notesThe application uses analysis software to detect the pitch and duration of the user's voice
We can hear what we've hummed in a recording and, best of all, we can add musical effects to it. We have at our disposal the option of listening to the pure recording transformed into musical notes, or -and this is the most fun part of the application- we can add different rhythms, such as Rock, Classical or R&B, to form complete melodies. In addition, we have the possibility if we have some notions of music to be able to edit our recordings after the fact.
The application -comments from Samsung- can be very useful both for inexperienced users in music and for profesionales, since, although initially it has been developed to share the melodies with other users on social networks, it can be used for, for example, create melodies for editing videos that are free of copyright, which helps to reduce the cost of this task.
Compared to other similar apps available on the market, “Hum On!” is incredibly simple and easy to use, one point more in their favor for users. The presentation video affects the ease of use so much that the user who appears is a girl singing the “Happy Birthday”and turning their humming into different melodies.
The developer team is currently working to improve the app's recognition accuracy of the user's voice and are even considering musician collaborations to provide more diverse accompaniments to the melodies that users create with their humming. And when can we enjoy it? The date has not yet been revealed but it should arrive in a few months.
