A strategy and action game in which we will put ourselves in the shoes of the survivors of the zombie apocalypse. During the game, we will have to build and defend our town and carry out different missions to obtain resources and recruit different adventurers.In addition, history will offer us decisions that can change the course of our adventure and get us out of more than one problem (or get us into a dangerous ambush). The new title The Walking Dead: Road to Survival is more than just a survival game. The company behind its creation wanted to create a complex title, which combines a classic dynamic of turn-based attack to kill the zombies with a construction mode in which we will have to develop our town with different buildings. In the first case, we have to create a party of adventurers of up to five characters (in the beginning we start with three free slots for our equipment) and use their combined abilities according to the weapon they carry.Each time these characters deal damage to a zombie, a bar is partially charged with their special ability. When this is complete, a button called “Charge” appears to use the special ability. You have to use these abilities wisely since they can mean the difference between survival and certain death.
Each mission has different phases and in them we have to face different waves of zombies or human enemies By the way, the special ability bars they stay charged between waves. Every time we kill a zombie, we receive some resources and objects that are stored in our buildings in the town. In case we receive injuries, we can make use of different objects accessed in the lower right corner.Also, if a battle becomes too hard for us and we find ourselves surrounded by zombies, we can choose to flee. Of course, we will lose all the rewards that we have managed to gather throughout the phase.
Within the town we will have the option of creating houses to house the survivors that we find or creating different specific buildings. For example, the warehouses will allow us to gather different elements that we obtain in battles, while with the workshop we can create battle objects that will help us in our combats with which zombies. We must also build farms to get food or training camps for the survivors to become combat companions. Over time it will almost be necessary for us to become part of a faction. And it is that in addition to the missions of the main story, users will also be able to carry out raids to steal resources from other towns. Every time we win against an enemy, we will get reputation points. However, when we lose we also lose reputation. An option that will give us a lot of play is to carry out a revenge against the users who have defeated us.
