Gmail leaks for Android 5.0 Lollipop
Google announced Android 5.0 Lollipop a few weeks ago, from the hand of the new Nexus 6 and Nexus 9. The company already showed us some of the novelties of the new version months ago, but it has not been until now when they have finished putting all the touches on the new system update. Android 5.0 Lollipop is a very important update, especially if we compare it with the last installments, in which the most important changes were in performance or other details, but keeping a design practically the same.Performance is very important on any system, but let's not kid ourselves, when we install an update we want to notice it. Not only in making the phone go faster, but in new functions and, of course, a new design Android 5.0 Lollipop brings us all of this and more. Along with the system update, Google is also updating its native apps to match the new design. The Android Police team has already put their hands on the new version of Gmail,We tell you all the details.
Google is already working on updating its native applications and Gmail has been one of the first to leak. The branded email client will be updated to version 5.0 shortly, but if you're impatient, the team Android Police makes it available to any user who wants to have it on their Android terminalAll we have to do is install the APK package on our device, previously activating the option Unknown sourcesin menu Settings – Security.
We have already installed the application and the first thing we have come across is the option to add more than one email account, and not necessarily from Gmail Gmail version 5.0 finally allows us to add any other email account , including Exchange and corporate accounts. In this way we can have all our messages grouped in one place. Accepts any IMAP /POP, account including Yahoo!, Outlook, or Apple iCloud.
Of course the design has been polished and now has the same clean and simple look of Android 5 .0 Lollipop. At the top there is a red bar with the title of the mailbox in which we are. Each message has an icon with the contact's photo if we have added it, if not it just shows a circular icon with your initial. The structure is the same, with a drop-down panel on the left where we can access other mailboxes, enter settings and, now also, Change account. The accounts that we have added appear at the top, also with circular icons. All you have to do is press one of them and we change accounts in a single touch. This version will reach all Android terminals when they are updated to version 5.0 Lollipop, but if you want to try it now, as we said, all you have to do isdownload the APK package and install it.
