Facebook redesigns the user's photo album on Android and iPhone
The images of Facebook are an essential part of the functioning of this social network And it is the way to show the rest of friends and family what is being done, moments that have been shared, visual messages that you want to launch and a very long etcetera more. A feature that Facebook have wanted to enhance with a colorful redesign, making browsing the albums of a user is a task colorful, pleasant and comfortableNo need to move through different and endless folders, or search for the most striking photos of said user.
This new redesign comes without the need to update the application, neither on Android or on iOS And it is that the changes arrive directly through the service of this social network, addressing issues that do not need visual improvements or new features in the app. In this way, from now on, users who consult the photo gallery will find a revamped grid instead of the classic list of user albums. A focused change to highlighting the user's most relevant images
With this, this grid now displays in larger those images of the user that received the most Likes, thus ordering by interest, and not just chronologically.Something really useful to show the most attractive or what had the most impact, and not those more trivial and simple photos posted on your wall. Of course, this feature cannot be deactivated, so it is possible that more than one user ends up remembering some embarrassing photo that, for some reason, achieved a good sum of Likes
But it is not the only novelty that Facebook has integrated in the section Photos of each user. The Uploads section has also been renewed, which is now no longer organized by folders as was the case previously. In the same way as the general section, it now presents a more dynamic grid, with larger relevant images and without differentiating between folders. Of course, it is always possible order all this content in albums and visit them in a well-ordered way in the homonymous section. In addition, these albums now display large photos as a preview on cover, instead of small folders with thumbnails.
With all this, the user's Photos section is redesigned, and nothing can be done to avoid it. Of course, the general result should be a much more attractive gallery and with a more visual format. Something that could even add new Like to the images published there by highlighting all those that are larger. This new feature has been released several hours ago, albeit on a staggered basis, so it's only a matter of time before all users Facebook on Android and iOS eventually receive it. A new format that, at least for now, will not be seen in the web version, only through the application for smartphonesA change that, in general, should be welcomed.
