Google would be preparing an update to Google Camera
The camera is one of the key points of any smartphoneand manufacturers are increasingly betting on more advanced components that allow quality photographs to be obtained. However, the results do not depend solely on the physical parts, but the software functions play an important role. This section is also being the objective of the main brands, which are including new functions to be able to add effects, modify the focus after taking the photo, blur the background, make panoramas and other possibilities. The basic Android camera app has some of these features, but Google would be planning to release an update with more improvements. The new Google Camera could arrive through the store Google Play as a separate update, which would also be available for all Android, not just the Nexus range.
The news has been published by Engadget and everything indicates that there will soon be a new edition of Google Camera available. One of the main changes will take place in the interface, but there are no clues about the new design. Currently the native Android camera application has a fairly clean interface, with the functions grouped into two blocks that are displayed showing all the functions. On the other hand, there would be enhancements to the panoramic photo function and also Photo Sphere, which allows the creation of 360 degree immersive panoramas. Another possibility would be to create a blur effect in the background of the image when taking portraits , so that the subject stands out more from the rest of the image. The viewfinder will also be improved so that we see exactly the framing that is then recorded in the image, so that later objects do not appear cut off.
As we said, the next version of Google Camera would arrive through the Google Play store as a separate update and not as part of Android 4.4.3 KitKat (the next installment of Google's mobile system). In this way all users will be able to have the news without having to wait for the respective manufacturers to launch the update via OTA, a process that usually takes a long time. However, only those who have version Android 4.4 KitKat or higher installed will be able to install the new release of Google Camera. In addition, according to Engadget, Google may also allow third parties to create extensions for its photo application , so new features could be added similar to how the Nokia Lumia lenses work. This strategy would allow the capabilities of the native Android camera to be expanded to suit the user, who could add modules to create different effects without having to leave the application.
