How to create animated Gifs with your Nokia Lumia and Cinemagraph
Nokia Lumia smartphones feature a number of exclusive applicationsvery interesting, and most of them are focused on a photographic theme. Among the collection of the Espoo company there is a function called Nokia Cinemagraph that achieves very funny and curious animated photo effects. In addition, the application has been recently updated and now allows us to export an image in GIF format, making it much easier to share it with friends or post it on social networks.
Cinemagraph is what Nokia calls βlensβ and what it does is iintegrate directly into the camera's native application. When we open the camera and click on the menu button (the icon formed by three dots), we can access the different modes that we have installed and Cinemagraph is one of them, so access is much faster -however, we can also open the Dedicated application that will be in the general list. This function captures a sequence of images and allows us to edit the parts that will be in motion and those that we want to keep static. Here's how to get an animated GIF with this feature.
1) As we said, to create the motion effect, Nokia Cinemagraph you need to record a sequence of images. This means that when you shoot you have to hold the device totally stillor the effect will not look good. To take the shot, click on the area of ββthe image that we want to focus on.
2) Once we have captured the image, the application will show us the first editing screen where we can choose the parts that we want to move It will automatically indicate those areas where it has registered a movement with small squares, which What we have to do is click on the points that we want to move in our GIF. For example, in the image we have selected the index finger and logically it will be the only thing that moves, the rest remains static.
3) We could end here and share the photo, but Nokia Cinemagraph offers us a series of options to configure to establish aspects such as speed, trim a piece and create a looping animation. As if that weren't enough, with the options of eraser and brush we can delimit the animated area manually. The system selects a default area but with these tools we can be much more precise and achieve optimal effects. But that's not all, we can also add color effects and highlight one of the tones to leave the rest in black and white.
4) When we have the image adjusted to our liking it is possible save it and export it in GIF format directly. The result will be stored in our album Saved images and ready to be sent by email or the method that most interests us.An editable image is also saved, so we could always go back to Nokia Cinemagraph and modify any parameter, both the animation and its speed or the selected fragment.
