LINE is updated to hide its wall from the main screen
The application LINE continues halfway between the social network and the messaging service. And it is that, although its possibilities go far beyond that of writing to friends and family for free and instantly over the Internet, it seems that some of its social aspectsdo not finish curdling. Hence, perhaps, its new update, which it takes advantage of to hide some of its functions and, as usual, give a Christmas touch to the application.
This is version 3.10 of LINE for Android, being 3.10.1 on iOS due to an even more recent update. In both, the change in the main screen that the application has undergone in some countries stands out. And it is that the tab Timeline has disappeared to give way to the function Add friends A change which may well be focused on facilitating the management of the application for Spanish users, having this feature more at hand and hiding, in a certain way, the wall or Timelineof the application.
In this way, and without having to perform any configuration, the Timeline tab that appeared on the main screen becomes located inside of More, from where you can access the changes of status and images shared by users and contacts A function that seems to have not achieved too many followers and whose previous space is now occupied by Add friends And it is that this feature was not always easy to find, now being located in a visible place to allow adding new contacts in just a couple of screen taps. However, it is possible to return the Timeline to the screen thanks to an option in the menu Settings
But there are more changes in this new update. Related to the Timeline or wall, the user can now modify the privacy of already published content , being able to limit the viewing to the contacts you want. Another change is the introduction of the Video call and Edit name option within the chat screen. This avoids having to access the contacts tab and carry out these functions from there, instead of during the conversation.A point in favor for the ease of use of this application.
In addition, the option to search the store for stickers has been improved. In this way the user does not need to see all of them one by one the available collections, being able to carry out a related search.
